of Laborde Marine Lifts, Inc.
Laborde
Marine Lifts, a Louisiana Corporation, chartered in May of
1996 by John P. Laborde, started with the acquisition of two
liftboats, a 105 class vessel, the LabLift I and 145class
vessel, the LabLift II.
John
P. Laborde as owner, began his career in the marine charter
business as an originator of Tidewater, Inc. the largest
offshore service marine company in the world. John P. Laborde
served as Tidewater's past Chairman, CEO, and President since
its inception in 1956 until his retirement in 1994.
In
February 1998, LML received delivery of its newly constructed
175 class liftboat, the LabLift III. The LabLift III
is the only US Coast Guard subchapter "L" class
and ABS class vessel in the Gulf of Mexico equipped with
the RAM 100 ton crane. Recently, July 2001, the company received
delivery of its fourth fleet vessel, the LabLift IV a 200'
Class vessel which has Lloyd load line and class.
Gary
L. Laborde, who worked with Amoco Production for ten years,
manages LML. After that, Mr. Gary L. Laborde practiced Maritime
Law for seven years. Mr. Gary L. Laborde is the current president
of Laborde Marine Lifts, Inc. with John P. Laborde serving
as CEO. Another son, John Peter Laborde, Jr. whose prior
work experience is 15 years with Tidewater as their Division
Manager for the Gulf of Mexico, serves as Vice President
of the company.
